I have a 2003 sunfire with a manuel transmission. The clutch has no compression and there is a leak coming from the inspection plate. Any ideas of what it may be and how to fix it??

Sounds like that may be one of those GM damnable hydraulic clutches. Had one on a GMC pick up. Two problems, first you don't know if it is a 10 or a 14 spline plate till you get the old one out. Second, once you have re-built everything, bleeding that thing is a bear!!!

support the engine from the top. remove the transmission.remove the clutch.reinstall.but those cars are notorious for the slave cylinder going out. this causes fluid to leak out and the clutch petal does not come up from the floor.the repaire is the same though, gotta remove the tranny.

the slave cylinder is leaking (now there's a surprise).
remove the trans and replace it. while ur at it replace the clutch master cyl cause if u don't it'll go bad soon.
