Couple of alternatives:
If the plants are all in one particular area, bunched together, try layering some newspaper on top of the plants and then cover the newspaper with some dirt. The plants will die.
If plants are scattered, you can make a solution of vinegar and water and spray on individual plants which will eventually kill them. Make sure you don't get the vinegar on any other plants in the area that you DO like.
If all else fails...there's Round Up, which is know to kill ALL kids of plants but will make the area toxic for a long time.
Without knowing what type of plants you're trying to kill (and whether it's a group of plants or something scattered throughout the lawn)...it's hard to determine the right route you should take. Hope this helps a little bit though. Good luck!

Try to get them all before they flower. If the soil is moist, it's easier. Put on some gloves, bring a little hand shovel if you need to loosen soil under them and pull them out. I do that with weeds close to the path or growing among my flowers.
I use a hoe for large areas or behind bushes & trees. We have a hula hoe which we use too. Then bag them up and let the garbageman take them away when there is enough.
We generally don't like to use weed poisons because we don't want to contaminate the yard or overspray any of it on ourselves. I am afraid of cancer.

You must get to them early in the spring before they mature and and start to reproduce, you need to get to the root of the matter literally if you have no desire to chemically treat for them. There are herbicides that can target certain unwanted plants. Take a sample to your local greenhouse and they can identify the problem plant and lead you to the proper chemical(s) to remove them. Otherwise you will just have to keep pulling them up, most people try to pull them with their hands. Using a a small spade will ensure you get the complete root system instead of just pulling the leaf section out.

i'm not extremely particular if what i am going to say may actually help you any because it may be in accordance to my own own reviews. i became fairly bitter at my ex-spouse for the duration of and after the divorce and it took awhile to get over it. Marriage is an funding on many ranges, from the truly emotional to the monetary, and that i felt cheated in a lot of recommendations. Like your ex my ex spouse is a human beings consumer. yet as time handed i began to understand and settle for countless the blame, rightfully, for the failed marriage. after all, i'd were extra selective, would have waited for the right individual, would have listened to the early caution signals (and there have been many) that she wasn’t the right individual to marry. My excuses on the time were that i became pleasing and youthful and fell for the first proper woman who confirmed an interest in me. As I familiar my percentage of the blame the resentments melted away. She continues to be a human beings consumer and continuously will be. For years now I have seen myself fortunate to not have her in my existence any extra. yet we've a daughter whom i love very a lot and am very pleased with and my daughter don't have got here into this international if that marriage hadn’t befell. and prefer your ex my ex (she’s has been effective in organization) makes so a lot extra money than I do. So, am I bitter now? No, I haven’t been for years. in my view, i imagine something else of the resentments will dissolve as you concentration on what you've and in no way what you’ve lost because of him. quite else, you’ve were given the youngsters. there is not any wealth contained in the international more effective than the love and appreciate of your own toddlers. and also you’ve were given your well being and your large abilities as an artist. you in ordinary words can’t placed a cost ticket on ingenious skills and the mind's eye and rewards that is going mutually along with your presents. I wouldn’t commerce my abilities as an artist or author for the monetary employer account of a billionaire. the way i look at it really is that you got here out way ahead contained in the divorce. understand this and something else of the resentments could dissolve away. a minimum of, it is the way it worked for me.

you need to pull them out by the roots. However if they are weeds it will be a losing battle. They'll grow forever. Even if you think you've got them all, the wind will carry in more seeds.

They're called weeds, love. You'll just have to keep pulling away at them, they're just a fact of life.
