stallworth is better than any other receivers on the eagles roster. but i think mcnabb and that defense is already enough to take them to the playoffs. after seeing 'invincible' i think maybe they should scour south philly's sleazy bars for a receiver, they'd probably find guys better than they have now.

Check this out....Stallworth is out of the NFC South...therefor he's good for the Eagles :P Sorry I'm a Carolina fan and love to see good players leave the other teams in the division :P But Donte Stallworth will be a good enough replacement for McNabb to dominate on offense again..Pinkston just needs to get back out there. With adding him...McNabb will probably make up for what happened last season...Stallworth is a quick receiver...and good for McNabb's deep ball...addition on scale of 1-10 considering the circumstances...9....the only way they could do better is if they traded for Deion Branch instead...but Stallworth is fine.

I thought the Eagles were a playoff team before Donte arrived. He certainly brings something to a weak and unproven receiver corps. While T.O. has more talent and the numbers, with D-Mac at QB Stallworth could be as effective. I never doubted that the Eagles would have had a winning record this year, but all things considered, I think they have as good a chance at the SB as any other team. I would be surprised to see them steam-roll their way there like they did in T.O.'s first season here.

Don't think of it as a replacement for T.O... that's not what he is.
Stallworth is just a guy that can help out a sub par receiving core that lacks a speedy deep ball threat. Stallworth will help out the running game just as much as the passing game. He makes defenses stay honest by staying in a zone, instead of playing 8 or 9 men in the box to stack up against the run.
And no, they wont make the playoffs. In the NFC East 9-7 wont be good enough to make the post season, and 9-7 is about all I think they will do... with Dallas and NY possibly winning 10 plus games apiece, Philly will get left out.

He brings the Ealges a deep play threat and opens up the feild for Reggie Brown underneath, LJ smith, and then they would force a linebacker to cover Westbrook. This gives the Eagles a solid offense with a solid gropu of receivers. As long as everyone can stay healthy, they have a shot to go deep into the playoffs. He wont replace TO in individual numbers ut the entire receivng corps can be better than if they had him.

Ask again around November..... It's not just 'A ' player to get a team to playoffs AND Super Bowl. It's a team effort, thats looking pretty good right now.
TO is an awesome player, but he's all about ME... ME. .. He's not a TEAM player, did ya hear he's fined $9,500 for missing a team meeting,a rehab session, and was late for an offensive meeting on Friday? Not to mention when he didn't show up for practice.

He will in no way replace everything that T.O. gave the Eagles but he should be a better receiver than anybody that the Eagles have so he should help, but I don't see them making the playoffs.

I would be a good replacement for T.O. He's terrible and all he does is tear the teams apart that he is on.
