I worry about her mental state because she is demonstrating some serious 2+2=45 logic here. Gay people shouldn't be considered equal of rights because there are some incestuous people out there? What?? I don't see how that impacts me in any way shape or form. I shouldn't be able to make medical decisions for my cancer ridden partner because someone out there is boning their mom? I shouldn't be able to adopt my own children because some brothers and sisters somewhere want to get it on? Nothing she is talking about has the slightest relevence to the real LIVES of me or any other gay person.
I'm talking about needing health care for my partner. I'm talking about raising my kids in a homophobic world. I'm talking about inheritances and social security benefits should something happen. I'm talking about harassment and violence against members of the LGTB community. I'm talking about having to pay twice as much in taxes because the federal government likes to pretend I'm single. I'm talking about discrimination in hiring against people like me. I'm talking about media representation and the continual assault on our human dignity. I'm talking about standing there paralyzed by the legal system while my lover dies because I am considered nothing to her.
I have no idea what she is talking about.

She is just like anybody else...she is interested in finding out what makes people tick. She may have offended some who believe in the gay agenda but I think that she was being genuine.
