Use a "Shop-Vac" in the wet mode (remove the paper filter and only use the foam filter). Liberally wet the carpet because in effect you will be flushing the shampoo out. You may want to clean the whole carpet at this time, or else you're going to have a really clean area. Then put a fan blowing over it to dry it out. If you have A/C, turn it on as that will dry the air as well.

It's hard to get all up without a carpet shampooer. You won't be able to get it all without pulling that out of the padding and the carpet. Don't rub on the carpet because it will wear it down. Even a small cleaner as long as it can suck would be great. A big shampooer is the best thing though and they aren't that expensive to rent for twenty four hours. $20.00 or so, and you won't need the cleaner either. Your carpet will be fine.

Needitrightnow has the right idea. Ask everybody you know if they own a wet/dry vac or a Rainbow brand vac (Rainbows work just like wet vacs only better). Don't forget to empty the container very frequently though. Most of these don't take nicely to foaming soaps. Good Luck!

Firstly, take of the excessive shampoo with a spoon & then wipe the carpet with a wet sponge or cloth & then use a hair dryer to dry it...

A wet dry vac or a carpet cleaning machine (extraction, steam cleaner) and defoamer. I would rent a steam cleaner and buy some defoamer. Extract and rinse it out, then you can clean the rest of the carpet while you have the machine.

Do you have a wet/dry vac? Or a GreenMachine? Use water, but remember, if it is on wall to wall carpeting, it will go through the padding. I would personally use a wet/dry vac; wet it completely down, and suck it back up, carefully. Good Luck.

Fill your carpet shampooer with simple water. Use it over the realm, similar as in case you've been shampooing. do not soak the water onto the carpet! mild, even coats. Vacuum with the shampooer each and anytime you bypass over the realm with simple water to pull the water lower back up. keep doing this until eventually the water comes lower back up sparkling. in case you do not have a carpet shampooer... you want a humid/dry keep vac! you ought to hoover up as a lot as you'll get out of the carpet. Spray sparkling water onto the realm, rub it in slightly and vacuum up. Repeat until eventually water starts off arising sparkling (nicely, as sparkling because it may get). do not use your customary vacuum purifier... please! bypass to WalMart, once you ought to! in simple terms a humid/dry keep vacuum will live to inform the tale!

You can try a "defoamer" agent that carpet cleaners use. It will take some time for it to diminish or you can call a carpet cleaner and they can do a room or spot-clean for you if need be.

you don't say how much you spilled, doesn't matter, if it's a lot I would put a fan on it, let it dry overnight, or till it is dry, and then vacumm up the residue.
