The Jacksonvile Jaguars. Jack Del Rio is a fine young defense oriented coach and Carl Smith, the former quarterbacks coach at USC pulls out all the ingeniousness in his offense. Byron Leftwich is the epidemy of a true leader. he carries his team on his shoulders and he overcomes all the beatings and hits that he takes, he is always eager to learn and improve. he is a rising star at QB and hes healthy again.
Fred Taylor is in the best shape of his life and when he is able to maintain his health he is one of the best rbs if not the best in the league.
Our wideouts are undeniably a force to be reckoned with. Matt Jones is a 6'6 242 lbs beast who runs the 40 in 4.3 reggie williams is 6'4 and so is wilford. we have the tallest group of wrs in the entire league which will create havoc for opposing defenses. They are young and very talented, and capable of breaking out now that jimmy smith has retired. our first round pick marcedes lewis adds another dimension to an offense that will explode. he is the final piece to the offensive puzzle. with a 6'6 TE roaming around, he will not only get his touches, he will open up the wideouts. not to mention the pressure of playing against a healthy taylor.
the offensive line returns with the same group that performed very well in the second half of last season. with khalif barnes holding down the fort the running game and pocket protection was much more improved. the defense was one of the best last year and will only improve with the addition of brian williams and dee brown. it will be one of the best defenses in the league lead by stroud henderson peterson mathis darius...all superstars that have yet to command the attention they deserve. this is the year the jaguars breakout and shock the world. we are not to be taken for granted.
the special teams is always superb. hanson is the best punter in the league. scobee has a strong leg that can break elam's record. chad owens and maurice drew dazzle in kick off returns. watch out.
Jacksonville Jaguars 07

the way last season ended was very unfortunate. our televised playoff game against the pats did no justice for what we are capable of. guys like peterson and henderson were not fully healthy, as a matter of fact henderson played with one hand and still made some fine tackles. byron leftwich just came back from an injury so he was rusty. these are not excuses because this season we will go deeper and the true jaguar colors will show. be prepared. whatever team you root for, just know that this team is exciting, very young, and good....damn good.
