This Friday, "The Wicker Man" opens at theatres nationwide. Directed by Neil LaBute, it's a horror-mystery film starring Nicolas Cage, Ellen Burstyn, and Leelee Sobieski. Will you see it in theatres, on DVD, on TV, or pass forever?

I think if it truly is scary, it would have more impact to see it at a crowded theater!! However, I am sure that I will accidentally turn it on a few years from now-in the middle of the movie, some rainy Sunday afternoon on the TV!

yeah, i probably will...but not without some misgivings.

i really like nicholas cage's work, so that's a plus. but, from the trailers i've seen, it appears as though they've sacrificed the creepy ATMOSPHERE of the original "Wicker Man" for a bunch of special effects...a decision that almost always results in a sub-par remake.

Nick Cage just gets better and better. I'd definitely be open to seeing it. Even full price! (plus I'm a scary movie-aholic) Even if the special effects or the story aren't 100%, I'm sure his performance will make up for it. (hopefully everyone sees "World Trade Center")

I have to go see it to review it for my Pagan website. I'm dreading what I'll see. The previews make feminist Pagans look pretty damn horrible, (worse than the orriginal, btw, most of the Pagans around here like the original.) but I am reserving judgement till I see the whole thing.

I want to see it. But I will have to wait for dvd or tv. I spend too much time in the bathroom to see it at the theatre.

No, two reasons. Nicolas Cage and I already saw the original so how can they top that?

The chance that it lives up to the original is minute. I'll most likely pass.
