I have not had a period in over 2 and a half years. I have PCOS for 10 years Dr's have tried Metphormine and Porvera for several years. I had a laperoscime a year ago which came back fine but the severed my nerve endings so I would have no more pain. I have lost an average of 40lbs and still no period can anyone suggest any legitiamit help?

Hey, I have PCOS myself... I know how you feel. Sometimes the period just doesn't come on it's own... for some people it is meant to be this way. I take Provera evey time to bring on my period..
In a way, it has its advantages too! You can decide on your own, when or when not to have your periods...

Well are you trying to conceive?? If you are then I would suggest seeing a doctor about this. If not, then I would just enjoy not having a period. One of the symptoms of PCOS is that your periods may not even be present at times. If you still want a period, then maybe the doctors can adjust the levels of hormone in your provera. (did the provera work for you??) One or more of your cysts may be preventing you from ovulating and there are surgeries for that too. Check out the link below for more info and see your doctor. I hope that helps.

There might not be anything legitimate. You may just have to be happy not having one. I had a friend who had that and the Dr's went in and cleaned all the cysts off her ovaries and told her to try to get pregnant soon. She dumped her husband who had a vasectomy and got a daddy for the only child she ever had. But some people with PCOS just never do have periods and never have children and have to resign them selves to that is the way life is for them.

if you have tried with the doctors and nothing works, I would suggest you the time to use natural herbs and roots. I don't know which country you are in, but I believe that you can find it, mostly if you go to a haitian botanica or massage therapist they can prepare you a bottle, a natural bottle, and this will help you. I suggest you also to make some more searches and I am sure that you will find some rescue. Last but la least, always remember God first, and above all.

WOWEE! Has the doctor ever suggested any type of hormone? My sister in law had that due to cysts on her ovaries and she was put on a hormone that helped her periods start

You can "will" a period. It's a natural process. I would ask a doctor.
