My uncle used to use this fictitious name in his vernacular. For instance he would say, "That guy is stranger than Jofa Beets" All He ever said was that is was used in the 20's and 30's? Then I once herd an old sports talk radio host use it many years ago (Pete Franklin).

Does any one know more about "Jofa Beets”?

I don't even know if I spelled the name right.
