Relax in school but be diligent in your studies. Work in CIA needs general information about politics, countries, government, military, police work and other related aspects of the society. Anyway, concentrate on your dream and you will achieve it.

Relax!
If you did not do well in school, last year, was it because you did not apply yourself? Be truthful!Or, Was the work to difficult?
It sounds to me , you can do better.
You sound like you have a better attitude this year. School is not party time , it is your whole future and you must try to do the very best you can do! When you do a paper, study for a test , Ask yourself , Is this the best I can do? Did I give it my all?
Honors always increase a persons chances, They are the ones sought out by people that do the hiring.
Don't give up, you are only in your 2nd year. You have a long way to go. Applying yourself from now on, should help tremendously.GOOD Luck!

You just have to visualize the future you in this job that you want. Think of what it will be like going to work each day doing something you love. Think about being able to afford a nice house, support a family and being able to retire at a reasonable age.
Take the hardest classes you are comfortable taking. If you are not comfortable, you will probably not do well and then it would have been better to take the easier classes and get A's.
And make sure not to do drugs. More than likely, the CIA will have you take a pre-employment polygraph and usually if you have used drugs more than 10-15 times, they will disqualify you.
Of course if you want to be a raging alcoholic they will have no problem with that. Sometimes I hate the hypocrazy of this country...but now I am wandering.
Good Luck!

Guy go for it. They do look at honor classes when you go to college. Most of all they look at you ACT score. They look at the grades no matter what classes you take they consider the grades. Also if you go to a community college for a year and get straight A's they do consider that too. Main thing is do not be nervous. Also its nice to pretend that you are some one great and an outgoing person and that you are really smart and are going to get good grades. pretend it enough-- you will become that person of great confidence. Always put your best foot forward.

Of course you have a chance. If they were to see you start out doing really well and then start doing badly then that would not be a good sign but going the other way around only shows improvement. Just do the best you can and you have nothing to lose. I just got what I needed to graduate but really wish that I had applied myself and done the best I can. I can't change that but you have the ability to do it. You are going to have to be there for 3 more years you might as well do the best you can otherwise you're just waisting your time. Good luck!

Most colleges don't even look at your grades from the freshman year of high school. Set a short term goal on doing well enough to get into AP level classes next year and good luck.

Honors classes are reserved for those with the highest grades and GPA's. You can't just get into them. You have to prove you can do the work by acing your current courses.
It's not too late to turn it around and still get that job. You need to buckle down and get serious throughout high school and college as well.

i doubt they would look at what you did as a freshman in high school, college is more likely to influence any decisions on your future. but you should try to work your GPA up over next 3 years...take some AP classes..they look impressive and help get you into a good college, you haven't blown it yet. and be careful of Senioritis on last year. and don't worry that much, you get better grades if you are relaxed enough to think clearly.

You can't be in the CIA if you are so nervous about your first day of school that you have to post it on the Internet. It is all about courage and secrecy, dig?
Honestly, the first day is probably easier than the third day where the assignments come pouring in so look at the strengths of the situation and proceed.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I just saw a commercial on TV about job and career opportunities in the CIA.
