I want to get a psp for my birthday, is there anything important i should know before i buy it and whats the best thing about it? oh and if you give me a stupid answer, I vow to hunt you down.

If you are really intent on bringing out the best in your PSP, then be prepared to spend MORE than you pay for it. The reason?
In order to play files on it (i.e. videos, view pictures, music, etc.), you have to transfer the file to the supplied Memory Stick. Sounds easy, right? The PSP, however, comes standard only with a 32Megabyte Memory Stick.
Which means, at best, you might be able to store six MP3s, OR a short video (roughly 15 minutes in length at best). Which means, if you are planning on playing some large movie file on your PSP, or to store those few hundred MP3s or pictures, you'll have to invest money in a 1gigabyte+ Memory Stick, which costs at least 70 dollars more.

ok. So some human beings say the video games on the DS are extra constructive yet they're so incorrect. most of the video games on DS are for toddlers and the pics are not almost as good as a PSP. I own a PSP and a PS2 and that i now play the PSP more effective than the PS2 so the PSP is deff properly worth it exceptionally as they don't purely play video games in addition they play video clips, song and help you save %. on them. you could also us them to browse the internet in case you'll come across a on the spot internet connection

The PSP is great, congratulations. If you want some great downloads, check this out. I got this thing called PSP Blender, and there's tons of downloads (movies, games, and music) that you can put on your PSP. Its relatively cheap too.

i have a psp and it rocks,something u should know it plays games watch movies stores music,pics,videos and demos that u could download from the playstation website on to ur memory stick oh
and it has acsess to the internet and it also has RSS channel to recive podcasts

Research the game titles before you commit, make sure the system supports the games you want. Also keep in mind that UMD movies are on their last leg.
Other then that, its pretty cool. I like it.

you should know the kind of games they have. b cuz some of them take too long to load and some r just well plain boring. you should know that u can put music, videos, photos, and games on it from thier website r music from ur MP3 files.
