When I travel, I ask people to guess where I am from-- they always guess somewhere besides the South. My vocabulary & speech don't sound like the stereotype they have in mind.... It's really silly that people still think this way.

Absolutely. I lived in the southeastern part of the United States for 2 1/2 years. I was constantly amazed at the lack of intelligence and especially LOGIC. At one point in my frustration, I actually told a friend from church: if it weren't for northern infiltrators, you people would be lost!

education isnt based on north south east or west...it depends on the individual...depends on peer pressure...depends on the family..depends on the surrounding circumstances..and most importantly depends on the person will and want for education (and whether he or she can afford the time n expenses..for eg single mom or a child from a poor family...)..
