You know how some cars AC outlets shut off when the car shuts off and some just stay on all the time? Well my car's outlets stay on when the car is off and I was wondering is there any way you can make them shut off when the car shuts off?

Yes just take the power wire going to the ac outlet cut it in half tape up the end not going to the outlet (the end comeing from the power source)then take the end leading to the outlet splice another piece of wire into it and run it to the fuse box once in the fuse box find a auxillary terminal that has power going to it only when the key is on and tie into that circuit.Or find the fuse that controls that outlet and disconnect it and hook it back to a auxillary outlet that only has power when the key is on.Remember you will need some mechanical skill and experience with 12 volt wiring and circuitry....

Do you mean that they stay on when the car is off but the key is still on that the blower runs...if the key is in the off position this should not happen. If it is on the accessory position you can change this circut by going to the fuse pannel and jumping the fuse terminal to another electrical point that goes on and off with the key...just make sure that you attach a fuse between the point in which you connect to and the point you are by-passing in the orignal circut. I have done this before and it works great with NO issues. PS Some cars have a circut that keeps everything on untill you take the key physically out of the tumbler...if this is your case...you cannot change this without major work to the electrical system at a componet and BIOS level...

This doesn t help those with the 2008 T & C, yet a observe...we basically went to Florida and back with the XBOX attached in our 2014 city and u . s .. We offered a separate visual show unit that hangs on the headrest. No problems in any respect powering XBOX in the time of 36 hours interior the motor vehicle.

You can find the feed point and break the connection, add a simple single throw single pole toggle switch and mount it at a convenient location. Since it can be a small switch it can sometimes be mounted in the dash trim lip so it is sticking down under the dash and is easy to get at.

some cars you cant shut them off, if u really want them shut off you need to rip out the fuse for them but u'd have to put it back in each time you use it

your outlets cant stay on, something else is staying on. like the blower motor
