where can I find videos for the first Kata? I know that every one is different, but I would like SOMETHING to go on. I know that it is a 28 step kata and it is nothing but mid-punch and low block. Any ideas?

My first form (kibon poomse) might be different from your's, but this is what I learned:

(remember you should be going in a capital I shape)

to the left, forward stance, left hand down block; step forward into f/s with right hand middle punch; turn around into f/s (right leg front), right hand down block; turn left into f/s with left hand down block, step forward into f/s with right hand middle punch, step forward into f/s (left leg front) with left hand middle punch, step forward into f/s with r/h middle punch, kihap. Turn behind into f/s (left leg front) with l/h down block, step forward into f/s with r/h middle punch; turn behind into f/s (right leg front) with r/h down block, step forward into f/s with l/h middle punch. Turn left into f/s (left leg front) with l/h down block, step forward into f/s with r/h middle punch, step forward into f/s with l/h middle punch, step forward into f/s with r/h middle punch, kihap. Turn behind to the left into f/s with l/h down block, step forward into f/s with r/h middle block; turn around behind you into f/s (right leg front) with r/h down block, step forward into f/s with l/h middle punch. Return to ready stance.

Hope that at least joggs your memory. If not, check out Black Belt Magazine. They always have various videos for sale. Or check out one of the new book/coffee shops, if you can't find a video there you sure can find an illistrated book.

I think you are studying a different set of patterns than I have studied over the years.

I'd recommend going to the website http://www.tagb.net and click on "Training Materials" on the left hand side, close to the bottom of the page.

This will list the forms and has video for most of them.

Depending on which TKD Federation you belong to, these forms may or may not apply to you.
