What a person sees depends on how light is reflected off of an object. Because black doesn't reflect much light, there isn't as much to see.

There is no color Black. Black is the absence of all color and absorbs the most light. White is the presence of all colors and reflects the most light. When there is less light you look thinner, but you are exactly the same as in any other color, People who squint and look hard can tell.

Things that are dark appear to be farther away to the eye, thus smaller. And light things look closer to the eye.
Or think of it this way - the farther away an object looks, the darker it looks. The closer it is, the lighter it is.
If you have a white basketball and a black one sitting next to each other, the white one will tend to look larger because our eyes process the information that way.

One of the reasons is because it doesn't reflect as much light as other colors, but I also think it's because since it's so dark, from a few feet away you can't see bulges or places where the fabric's bunched up between fat rolls or something. lol wow that sounds bad. But yeah.

well it all depends on how short or tall u are too. if u are tall then u wear a long black skirt which this will make u taller and thinner. and when you are short, well short dark skirts will look nice on u because you will look thin and a little tall too. and always wear high heels when u wear short skirts. and when you are tall its better to wear low heels, so u won't make yourself look to way tall..

When someone wears black there are less highlights and shadows to their form than if they were to wear white. The figure appears flatter and bulges become less noticeable.
