Once they've healed (and since Dec '05 is plenty of time) you're ok to change them out as frequently as you like. A dozen times a day shouldn't matter.

What's important is that whatever you put in, it has to be clean, smooth, and preferably of a non-reactive material. Surgical Stainless Steel, Titanium, Platinum, 14K gold (or higher). If you find that your ears get easily irritated (often mistaken for infected) when you're wearing sterling silver, abandon the silver or at the very most, wear it only for special occasions and for as short a time as you can get away with.

I pierced the tip of my ear [3 x now] and it never seems to heal. I make sure to clean it. I follow routine. For some reason, it won't heal. In the past, I wasn't into wearing earrings. I had the whole but I just wouldn't wear them. My hole didn't close. I change my earrings alot and never experienced any diffculties.

I change my earrings every single day. Just at first when you get your ears pierced, you're supposed to leave those earrings in for a certain amount of time. Maybe 6 weeks or something, I'm not sure. Whoever pierced your ears should have given you information about it. =)

It's not changing your earring that's the problem. It''s probably the fact that you are using nickel-based earrings. You need to wear only gold, silver or platinum earrings. Most people are allergic to nickel, but precious metals don't react to skin irritation. Also, You need to wear them every day to ensure the piercings don't close.

You need to take them out and clean them. If you keep cheap ones in for to long they will fester. if you have has them for a while they should not close up. If they do then just squeez them like a pimple and they should open up again. Good luck girl Btw silver or gold is the way to go.

I just wear the ones that they gave me (the ones that you keep on for 4-6 weeks).
