Once when I was at the gas station this lady was there filling up with gas. She went in to pay with a credit card but the machine was down and she had no cash on her. She also had 2 little kids with her, and it was really late. I heard her tell the cashier that if he would hold her credit card and ID she would run home and grab her checkbook since she lived a few minutes away. The man told her ok and he took her card and ID. I paid for the gas for her and ran out there with her ID and credit card. She was pretty much speechless, but then she tried to pay me for it with the few dollars she did have on her. I told her no because almost the same exact thing happened to me about a year earlier and the guy told me just to pass on the favor... I felt great doing it... The best 20 bucks i ever spent..

Every year at Christmas we choose a family that has less than we do and we are not wealthy by any stretch of the word. We make sure they have gifts for the children and a special meal for Christmas Day. We even get them a tree and ornaments if needed and give the parents a gift certificate to a local restaurant as a present to them. We also make sure the children have coats and good shoes. It is the least we can do to help our fellow man and it is done anonymously through people who actually know us and know of a family in need.

One hot summer day a few years ago, I passed an ice cream truck parked on the side of the road. Next, I passed a policeman, in full uniform, watching over a construction site. I turned around and bought him a snocone. He was so shocked and I felt like I did my good deed. For the week.
