Mayfield was fired 3 weeks ago and Yates let Sadler out of his contract to drive for Ray Evernham.

Jeremy Mayfield was fired from the 19 car after a feud with his owner Ray Evernham.
Evernham then hired Elliot Sadler, who got his early release from Robert Yates racing. So Elliot's in the 19 now and Mayfield will drive the 36 car next year for Bill Davis Racing.

You must have been absent from the NASCAR world for a few weeks. Ray Evernham fired Jeremy Mayfield because of poor performance and for his bad-mouthing of his own team to the media, Elliot Sadler was already planned to be the driver in that car in 2007, but they went ahead and put him in it early. Now Gilliland is driving the #38 car.

Because Elliott signed with Everham because of the bad performance with Robert Yates Racing. David Gilligand is now driving the #38 for the rest of the season.

Evernham fired Jeremy Mayfield about three weeks ago. Robert Yates let Elliott out of his contract early and he joined up with Evernham. Elliott will now be driving the #19 car for the rest of the season and next year as well. I guess they wanted Elliott to get some practice in with the Evernham team before next year to make sure he fit in with the team.

Jermemy Mayfield got fired, so Sadler replaced him. That's his new car now, and David Gilliland took his place in the M&Ms car :(

mayfield was fired about three weeks ago. sadler got out of his contract with Yates and went to drive for ray everingham.

That's elliots new car. Went to evernham about 2 weeks ago or so. Not sure what happened to Jeremy Mayfield though.

mayfield wasn't performing good, so he got fired....sadler didn't feel happy @ RYR...so he went to the next available seat...everham motorsports. this was his second race, and they are trying to get ready for 07'. so far team comunications have been good, all 3 drivers agree in many setups, unlike mayfield, so there's good chemistry....as far as mayfield, he is rumored to drive for bill davis, next to dave blaney, in the 36 toyota, next year.
