Well, it obviously depends on the actor/actress. If they are a tv actor/actress, they're going to be wanting an emmy. If they're a movie actor/actress they're going to want an oscar. And if they're both... they're probably going to want an oscar.

They're for different things...Oscar for movies; Emmy's for TV. The Oscars are generally considered to be the highest honor, but actors on TV wouldn't be nominated for an Oscar but an Emmy.

Oscars are for the movies and emmys for TV. I guess you would say that winning an oscar would be the greater achievement because you are on the 'big screen' as opposed to tv for the emmys.

There is a big difference in the oscars and emmys one is for tv and the other are for movies, but oscars would be higher in achievement.

well i think the most coveted is the oscars, coz you know it has a wider scope in filmmaking coz they even include foreign films in that, while the emmys is only for american tv if i'm not mistaken. i think both are important though comparatively the oscars is the more aspired one.
