I dont think time travel would be viable only because of the fact that anyone traveling back in time would risk spreading desease like the spanish did to the indians in early america. The same goes for traveling forward in time. The traveler wouldnt be immune to even the common cold in the future but thats just my opinion. whats yours.

Its kinda real i guess if we could move at amazing speeds. For example there's to space people floating in the most darkest part of space. No light or anything. We'll say john is floating along minding his own business. On his space suit is a digital clock and it reads 12:00. When floating one day john sees a light off in the distance and its moving closer and closer. The light comes into view and its another space person with a clock. We'll call the second guy Giuseppe. They both meet and try an experiment. they sync there clocks to the same time exactly. So here's the experiment they are going to see whose clock is slower. Giuseppe is going to leave and john is going to catch up with him using a jet pack. The jet pack goes 99.5% of the speed of light. John waits three years to catch Giuseppe. so he waits three years and it takes him three years to catch Giuseppe. When they meet up Giuseppe's clock reads 60 years and johns is only 6. How can this be?well Georges speed has made him a time traveler, albeit in a very precise sense. he traveled to Giuseppe's future.

Let's assume for a minute that time travel is possible.
You could travel into the past & change the course of history by assassinating Adolf Hitler, for example. But when you return to the present, nothing will have changed. Why? It'll already be part of history.
You could travel into the future & witness a nuclear holocaust, as another example. Coming back to the present, you could warn the governments of the world & tell them exactly when it will happen. Then perhaps, it could be prevented. Many people would share your concern, but who would believe you? I personally don't believe that the future is set in stone anyway.
Would you meet your past or future self while travelling through time? What would happen if you did?
Time travel makes for great entertainment, but it just presents too many problems & paradoxes. It makes my head spin just thinking about it! It's just as well that it's not possible. It belongs only in the realm of science fiction.

I agree that such might be of concern-unless we could find some way to immunize against most all disease, which is unlikely. One point on time travel in general though-I'm not sure it is or could ever be possible-the past has already been, and no longer exists-the future is not yet,and has yet to be determined,so does not exist either,so I don't see how it could be possible-theoretically it may be,but there is a great difference between theory and fact! (This is just MY OPINION of course!)

Well, How about astral time travel? I mean what's the point of going when it takes so long to pack? If people can travel psychically and see thru the eyes of others there's no point of all that physical stuff. It's just extra because it's usually what you remember that makes it memorable. Otherwise it's the old story of are we there yet? This is the quickest and safest way to travel.

As far as compatability issues...there are far more fundamental ones. The entire universe is expanding exponentially at a rate we cannot measure relatively. Particles from now may be much larger than they were moments ago, or the nature of the particle spin or colour may have changed. We have no idea if particles form different times can interact at all. Simply existing in another time is a problem.

Thousands of science fiction stories convey the dangers of time travel. For many reasons, it would be like playing Russian Roulette with 5 rounds. But when has risk of catastrophe ever stopped someone from doing something stupid?

If you think that is the only reason time travel won't work you had better do a little more research.

I'll give you the main reason: you wouldn't be able to buy anything because all of your money would be considered fraudulent due to ridiculous future dates on it.

If anyone in the future had invented the technology to travel in time, don't you think a time traveler would have shown up by now?

Not even einstein believe the time travel. Scientist believe that time travel is not possible since nobody from future come back to tell you that he come from future. So the logic is not "can we fly", the logic is more to "can we be a god". So impossible.

Scientifically speaking that is true because evolution (even of disease) requires time. Diseases of today are much more potent then the diseases of yesterday because of mutation and adaptation, however diseases that have been eradicated can still pose a threat if one is exposed to it yet again which will incubate, mutate and evolve if given the chance.
