You need to video tape him secretly, like a nanny cam when he is like that and then when he is sober show him a copy and tell him that even though you love him allot, you can't live like that and if he doesn't clean up his act then your out of there with that to prove why in court that you are in the hurt in this situation

Sorry to say but unless he quits and gets help it is not gonna stop. I went through it with ex. i loved him so too it took 5 years of that crap to finally leave it was not easy but u have to be strong. I tried the taping him and he just said when he was sober i dont want to hear it. I know sometimes with things that r said u would much rather be hit cause that pain will go away verses the verbal abuse he is giving u. The only thing u can do it file for divorce and if that don't make him stop cause he knows u r being serious then go through with it and start living a happy life cause u should not have to put up with that. Good Luck and God Bless.

If you really Love him get him some help! Sometimes you have to use the "tough Love" method he may say that he hates you or that you are trying to change him, but no matter what you have to stay strong and keep pushing and most importantly pray for him on a daily basis, and get him to church, and if he says something to the effect of he's not good enough, just tell him that if you had to be perfect to go to church, no one would ever be there!!
I'll be praying for you and him

God Bless You and Good Luck!!

That is a hard one, I am lucky that my partner doesnt drink at all but i know alot of guys that do. Just an idea maybe just go stay with a friend for a few days and if he beggs for you back then he has to make a few changes if he really loves you he will it is not a big change but it is a problem that can kill.

He says he's going to quit but he won't. I spent 5 years trying to change an alcoholic and believe me you will have no effect whatsoever. They are physically addicted to alcohol and will get sick if they don't drink so the only way he'll be able to get help would be with professional help. If you think he will get the help he needs Great but I wouldnt get my hopes up. Good Luck though.

girl, i know what you are going through, however , it depends on how much you love him, you have to remeber that he is the only person that can change himself, not you !! if he wants to change he will , and if not you will have to just deal with it or get out, i know thats kinda harsh , but its the truth. also there may be alot of depression on his end, oh shure a pill will work for htat but ultamatly its theropy , and another thing , if he does love you , like u love him, he will seek help and there will be more downs then upps , but if you do decide to be with him , stick with it and hold his hand help him through it

Where do you want to start? If he passes out everytime he drinks then the kind of help you need isn't going to come from a bunch of Yahoo dorks like us.

Dear Devil Woman,

Something about your nickname makes me think you're mean too. Just a hunch. Anyways, I think he's trying to kill himself cause he sees no way out and away from you. I'm not trying to be mean, but my father was like that with my mother. As soon as they divorced he got sober and found a nice lady (older and fatter) to make him happy. I hope you think about how you treat him too.

That stinks. My husband can get really mean sometimes too. It is hard to let those things go even though he claims later that he didn't mean them. I'm sorry. What about counseling?

You are enabling him. I hate to say it, but it will be hard...you must enforce tough love. He either goes to rehab or you leave. It will enventually turn to physical abuse. For your own safety it is time to stop nursing him.
