Hear, hear! How can you take anyone seriously when they can't spell or use even basic rules of English?

Only really good spellers care about capitalization, punctuation and grammer, oh, and spelling. All are very important in order not to look illiterate. I am a fanatic.

It depends on what im writing, if i chatting i really dont care, but it im wiritng something for a class of for work i try it to be perfect, i wouldn´t like people thinking im illiterate!

i prefer not to capitalize because it takes up more time, but i try to spell eveything out correctly. and i use punctuation. i can understand the spelling thing because it gets on my nerves, but is it really that big of a deal if a person capitalizes as long as you can read it.

on the computer i spell correctly most of the time but not so much on capital letters, just don't feel like it unless it's for school

Great Question!!! I always get a "Notice of Violation" when I ask this question. They are decidedly illiterate, and we the literate, will continue to suffer for it...

if you're talking about online, i care about spelling and punctuation. not so much about capitalization. when i'm normally writing, i do it all.

Ahhhh. And evermore enjoyable is someone who asks a question like this with improper punctuation and a run on sentence. Look at yourself before you judge others.
