Well, this is exciting. I can't tell you how much I would love to go back to middle school (I'm now 19!). I don't know your school, but at my school the work was easier in certain classes than in the previous year. But this was just science and social studies. They tend to give out a lot of worksheets, where you just look up the answers in the text book. Still, do your assignments and just do your best. As for math, that will be harder, but asking the teacher for help is the right thing to do and if your school offers a tutoring program, do it! Trust me, math can be hard if you don't get it. English will be similiar and you'll just broaden what you learned last year. They'll expect more of you this year.

You really don't need to get to paranoid with school work though. It's really not that bad. For all of these people that are saying plan for college right now, that's rediculous. You're what? 11, 12? You have plenty of time to think about college in high school. Just have fun!!! Life is too short. Enjoy every moment. For me, middle school was the best time of my life.

When making friends, you should be yourself. That way, you can find friends who are similiar to you and share your same interests. Don't be afraid to act like a dork sometimes. Don't try to act all cool, because you want to impress someone. They're just not worth it.

If you switch class for each subject, this is going to be new for you, but it's nothing to worry about. You might get lost a couple of times, but it will get to be routine, so that will be nothing.

To comment on the kids you will meet, I'm not going to lie. There are going to be kids that are mean, just plain mean. I just want to tell you to let their comments bounce off your back, but at your age that's not too easy. I remember. Just stick close to your friends, you'll be fine.

Well, that's about all I can think of. When you walk into that school the first day it might be scary, but try to be confident. If you're not, don't worry, because a lot of other kids aren't either. Just remember that everyone at that school is in the same boat as you and are feeling a lot of the same feelings. Cherish everyday of middle school, have fun, and don't take anything too seriously. You'll love it!

be yourself, don't change who you are just to fit in with a group that you think is "cool".

Dont' EVER compromise your standards for a boy.

Keep yourself pure, it is the MOST attractive thing to the RIGHT kind of man that you want to be with forever at some point.

Focus on your education. You have NO idea how important it is yet, and you have NO idea how much you will be ahead if you actually make it a point to learn something in Middle School.

Let your parents stay involved..... ask them for help with the HW you don't understand.

Get involved in sports or some sort of school activity.

Make all A's....to the best of your ability.

Plan to go to college now.....

Love yourself, think about your actions before you take them.

Don't beat yourself up for mistakes.

Don't be scared at all! My advice to you is to make sure you wear your favorite clothes and shoes and be confident! Be sure to get their early so you can find your classes. If you time, the day before, go to your school and try finding your classrooms. Make sure you are polite and courteous to your teachers and that you listen to them. Expect each teacher to be different in their style of teaching, their expectations and requirements. Make sure you:
DO be confident
DO go early
DON'T be nervous
DON'T be intimidated by older kids- instead be friendly and who knows, you make friends with them
DON'T just stay with your friends from elementary school- go talk to new people and people who look lonely

My last bit of advice is be calm, you'll get used to it in no time.
