Anger - red for sure. When you're pushed to that point of so mad it's like you see red.
Love - not to be typical but I'd say pink. Soft, gentle and pretty.
Hate - black. Dark, lifeless and icky.
Intelligence - navy blue. Like the color of a nicely pressed 3 piece suit.
Calm - yellow. A real easy and soothing color to look at.

Anger-white, or the absence of colour. Whiteness gives me a headache if i look at it too much amd so i associate true anger with a headache.
Love with purple, the sacredness and passion and fun of this colour and emotion.
Hate i would associate with black for the reasons i'm sure alot others have pointed out.
Intelligence with blue as it is a focussed, clear, collected and has a beauty which i find in intelligence.
Calmness with green as i think all that is natural is calm harmony and a natural colour (green)

Anger: white Love: red Hate: black Intelligence: yellow Calm: blue
Explanations:
Anger: like the white searing pain you have when you're really angry at someone
Love: red for passion you have for someone
Hate: black for emptiness and no feelings for a hated person
Intelligence: yellow is usually accociated to brains because light bulbs are yellow...have you ever noticed that on TV shows, spelling bee uniforms have yellow on them almost all the time?
Calm: blue for the calm of the ocean on a late summer evening at the beach

Anger - deep red, like a maroon with hints of black
Love - Bright, shiny red
Hate - so black that nothing reflects
Intelligence - pale blue
Calm - light blue, like a clear sky (probably why I think calm)
Interesting that darker colors represent more powerful, yet evil, emotions; hate, anger, lust. Lighter colors represent weaker (don't make you act powerfully) emotions; love, calm, peace (which I would say is pure white).
Does this speak to our feelings about race relations? Or, perhaps, are the stronger emotions reserved for our fears, which are emphasized by the dark of the night...
Interesting.
