I did.
After talking to them for awhile you can usually know if they are playing you or not. I met a guy on pogo playing spades. I got to know his personality before even knowing what he looked like. We met in person and hit it off.
We are now married and have a 5 month old son 4 years after meeting.
We are very happy. (The only thing is when you meet someone on the internet more than likely they are not near you.. which means if you do hit it off you or they will have to relocate) If you love them then its worth it.

ONE THING FIRST:
I tried to email you (reply to the message you sent to me) but it said that your email address has not been confirmed...I just thought I'd let you know. ^_^
So...
What does halloween have to do with finding true love on the internet (I'm only curious 1_1). You can fall in love with someone you've never met through the miracle of words; the way they speak, how they answer your questions, what they say; anything or everything about them that makes you want to become closer to that person. As for the internet...just make sure you're not talking with a police impersonator instead... ^_^

You can't, not really, because you have no idea who you are really talking to. You could be talking to the next Ted Bundy or something. You fall in love with a concept over the internet, not a real person. You fall in love with words on a screen, nothing more. And, besides that, it could be the most dangerous thing you've ever done in your life with all the internet preditors around.

Yes probably. They say there are 10 people in this world that loves us and we don't even know it. The same thing like being out shopping and someone seeing you and never fogetting you. It could happen I guess over the internet too.

Yes. If you've ever known someone (of the same OR opposite sex) and had a plutonic relationship with them you might understand this. For example, you might love your brother, or a good friend, or even someone with whom you've shared a great deal of experiences. Bottom line, I think it comes down to: people tend to love the people with whom they've share a lot, whether it is intellectually, emotionally, or experiencially. Physical attraction and love should always have clearly defined boundaries.

I have had an internet crush or two...I agree that they are not a good idea, especially if the person lives a zillion miles away. You are just ASKING for heartache.
If it is a local person, just look at it as a sneak preview and proceed with caution.

love is an abstract concept.. a feeling.. nothing more..Love can come from nothing and mean everything.. only if you want it too ofcourse.. you cannot define the requirements for love.. there is no science to it...
you ask how can someone fall in love with someone they never met.. because you never know if who they say they are is who they realy are..
so are you saying because you meet someone in person.. you know everything about them.. lies and deciet are as easy to concoct in real life as they are on the internet..
Love is spooky.. undefined and powerfull..

it can be spooky, not to mention dangerous, but if you spend a lot of time talking to someone you can develop a very deep relationship which can lead to love, it takes communication and trust
even face to face, we really don't know as much about a person as we think we do

Hmmm I feel the same way...how can you love someone you never met...you just talk to them a lot everyday. Sometimes it is easier to talk to people online than it is in person. Not every online relationship sucks...many of them do tho.

They can't "fall in love with somebody they never met"; they fall in love with their own imagination: It's a trip through fantasy land, and they are running in a pant after the whirl wind.
