A radio edit is programming that has been edited for length or obscenity.

When an obscenity is blanked out during a broadcast under the "7-second delay" it's called a dump or dumping.

Censoring is how that practice is called. Bleeping is one of the most common ways to do it. Another would be muting.

They usyally make rating before playing on air. If needed they edit the audio file to do it. Some record labels distibute censored copies to the radio stations but include original song without the "bleeps" on retail CD's and put a "Parent Advisory" label or something like that.
