yea i think its a 98 camaro and my 04 mustang

Well, it all depends on the year. 98+ Z28 will outrun any stock mustang gt out there (even 05+). 94-98 will outrun any stock GT up to 2004. 2005+ GT will put up a fight/pull slightly on a 94-98 Z28, depending on the Z28's age/mileage (some of em are gettin pretty old, and I know a friends stock 94 Z28 with 80k miles falls behind my 06 GT, but a '96 Z28 with considerably less mileage pulled slightly on me). Unfortunately for Ford guys (me), stock Camaros are generally speaking a good bit faster than stock Mustangs. But of course, they dont have that blue oval on 'em ;)
And of course, any mods and this is totally irrelevant.
Edit: OK yeah 98 vs. 04, better be nice to him!! lol its like 310hp vs. 260, plus a good bit more torque from the bigger pushrod LS1 Camaro.

The Z28 of the mid 70's became such a DOG they stopped making them for a few years until the smog devices were improved. Then, when they started making them again, they were STILL not very quick for about 10-15 years.

The camaro should be because it has a bigger motor and generates more horsepower. The camaro also will hook up better out of the hole due to the set-up of the rear-end.

If it dosent have a billion miles, the Z28 will smoke those lesser mustangs. CHEVY BEATS FORD EVERY TIME!!!!!!

Camero Z/28 has a 5.7L and the mustang has I believe a 4.1L. It all starts in the engine.
