I have some things I wonder about but can't talk to my parents or counselor about. She will tell my Mom. Who do you tell confidential things to? Have they ever betrayed your trust?

Girl, you have to be careful who you trust. because if you get a conselor who is too edgy she might got right to yer folks. Do any of your friends have cool Moms or older sisters?? What about cousins? I was in quite a quandry and I told my older cousin and she was champ for me. Good luck to you, and know that you can always ask this Windy City gal anything in the strictest of confidence.

It depends on what you have to tell. Sometimes counselors are obligated to tell things, if they are concerning law breaking, etc. I must ask, what is it that you cannot talk to your parents about? You know, as hard as parents can be sometimes, they love you, and want to help, and want to know when you are having problems. There are always crisis lines you can call, as well as letting a counselor know you need to talk confidentially, but are not sure that they are the person you can talk to, and maybe they can suggest someone else to you. Sometimes another family member could be someone to tlak to, or even a religious person ( priest, rabbi, minister) can help.

My mom... we are closer than any of my friends. I trust her and know she would never betray me and she is a Christian and I know she wont talk behind my back and always gives good advice, I really trust her judgment on things, being that she came down some bad roads.

When I was a kid, I'd tell my best girlfriend...at in 7th and 8th grade I had a teacher I adored, and I talked to her about things sometimes.

Now, as an adult, I don't feel the need to keep such secrets. If I want advice I'll talk to my best girlfriend (not the same girl as above), my Mom, or whomever I think can provide me with the best advice and insight.

As far as I know, when I've told someone things in confidence, they kept that confidence.

I tell my boyfriend EVERYTHING. I trust him 100%. He has never betrayed my trust in the one year we've been together. Even though I'm a blabbermouth, he talks much less than I do and has never told anyone anything I've told him not to tell.

I usally tell my friends everything. But I found out that most of my friends cant keep secrets. I like to find a person that I dont know really. But not a stalker or anything. And ask for help or tell them my problems. If they dont mind.

I confide in my closest friends. We all share each others pains and joys so they would never betray the trust. Trust only comes once. Once you lose it, its lost to you forever.

I usually go to my friends. They are my age and understand how I feel. Some of them might tell people, but I have a good friend that will only tell if I let him.
