Yes It could be a serious problem. It could be either a fibroid tumor or endometriosis. Either way it is painful and not something you would like. Endometriosis is when part of the lining, instead of exiting the womans body during the menstral period, attaches itself to other internal parts of the body and continue to act normal, goring and emiting blood. This is very painful. Check it out, there are some intelligent men out here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endometriosis

No, it's not dangerous.. It happens when I have my period for two weeks... as long as it doesn't last that long every time.

It all depends on your age, and some other factors, it may not be normal but it happens. I think a call to the GYN is in order, if nothing else, they can check for anemia.

no, it's not. you should go to the doctor. you could be losing extra blood and need surgery, this happend to my cousin. Good luck and I hope you're okay!
(it's nothing life threatening or anything, you should just visit your doctor to see what's up)

Yes and my sister had periods that lasted that long. Please go see your doctor about putting you on birth control. It will help stabilize and normalize your periods.

Well it could be a fiberoid, which wouldn't kill you but you could become anemic. It would be best to go to a doctor as soon as you can.
