I find conflicting information.


The first modern claim of alien abduction was by Antonio Villas—Boas in Brazil during the late 1950s.

The earliest reference to alien abduction (possibly) is the reference in Genesis to Enoch who was 'taken by god'. Enoch was Noah's Great Grandfather.

Also the reference to Jacob's Ladder could be to a UFO.

Take the population of the southern United States and divide by two. But then multiply by two, because most of them get abducted twice.

there is "rock art" (thousands of years old) showing alien visitation and human abduction.

in the 50's when all the sci fi flicks started flooding the movie theaters and the space program staring becoming more prominent in peoples minds.
