If everyone had a bit more concern, compassion, and respect this world would be a better place.

I definitely have compassion for other people, especially those suffering from illness or other tragedies. I am concerned for my family and hope everyday when they leave for work, that they will return safely. I have concern for those who make terrible choices in their lives. I respect my elders, my family and friends. I do not share any compassion, respect or concern for criminals. Criminals do not deserve the respect from anyone, especially after the harmful things that they have committed. I love each and every one of my friends and family.

Sometimes I don't but I get into moments where I remember that someone has compassion for me and respect for me and that keeps me grounded so I'll never forget. I must return the favor to people.

I try. I try to live by the golden rule, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." There's a lot of times I feel spiteful, want revenge, want to get even, but I don't act on those feelings because I know if I don't I can have peace of mind. I don't have a "holier than thou attitude"--it's just easier for me to believe in Karma. One thing that does bother me though is that some of the leaders in Louisiana seem to be ungrateful despite all the generosity shown by their fellow Americans as well as many friends in other countries in the aftermath of Katrina.

Yes I still have compassion for others. Why you ask, it has always been in my nature. it is wise to respect elders as they will respect you for it.

there's still some people who are like you described, but it seems more and more people are becoming unconcerned, self centered and lacking in respect for others. What ever happened to saying thank you when someone holds the door for you or please, or kids having respect for their parents instead of talking back?
