BlackPepper, Cayenne Pepper, Mothballs they all should work.
I must say you don't have nice neighbors if they let their dog
urinate. Have you talked to them and made them aware of it.

To keep peace with your neighbor, it would not be easy. But the owner of the dog, needs to keep him on his own property. Dog urine is awful and it can turn your plants brown. Keep a hose laying across your lawn and each time you see the dog over to your place, quickly run outside and spray him with water. If you can speak with your neighbor about it, just kindly ask him if he could keep the dog, in his own yard. Tell him that you love your gardens and from the dog urine it is ruining your plants . I would not like to pick flowers that my neighbor dog had urined on. And worse, is when you go to weed you garden, that you need to protect yourself from the urine. You can put up fencing, but that makes it difficult to tend the gardens. The best thing you can do, is ask the neighbor and if he won't listen, then you have no choice as to call Animal Control and let them handle the pissy animal. Good Luck.

Use a combination of moth balls and cayenne pepper. You will have to rapply pepper after a rain.. Speak to your neighbor. If he is not pleasant or agrreable about the problem. Call the dog pound and report a loose dog. If they pick up the dog and your neighbor has to bail him out a coup;e of times he may get the message. Most places have Leash Laws regarding dogs and cats. We have one here and if your animal is not confined to you property by fencing, chaining or voice command you are fined substantially.

Buy some biofend it contains vinegar; white pepper and stuff the dogs don`t like. I think you can buy it at Walmarts or petco. It is a liguid form and also a dust bits that won`t hurt the dog but it should ward the dogs away Good Luck to you..

You definitely need to speak to the neighbor as friendly as possible. If that doesn't work, call the Animal Control and have the leash law enforced. Every metropolitan area has a state ordinance/ leash law.

I would first talk to your neighbor and if that fails I would consider a fence. I decided myself to put upa fence in my yard because of a cat that likes to come in my yard and hunt birds. So far the fence has worked.

It's kind of weird, but up in Seattle, you see WATER BOTTLES, filled with water (the plastic 1-gal. jugs) positioned around the yard. I don't know how it works, but you see it everywhere there, and they all say it does work. Of course, then you have to see water bottles everywhere. Go figure. (I now live in the desert.)

Try and catch him in the act and scare the crap out of him! (Not literally) with maybe a hose, etc. DO that a few times and he will avoid your yard like the plague!
