It's definitely not a "right or wrong" thing...it's just a personality difference. I do think life is a little easier for extroverts, because people are more drawn to them because introverts often come across as aloof. (I am something of an introvert myself.) There are benefits to being an introvert too, however....introverts tend to be more comfortable being alone than extroverts are. A night at home without a date or without friends to hang out with doesn't totally freak us out...we tend to enjoy our own company and can be alone without feeling awkward or lonely. I think it's a good thing that there are both kinds of people, because we kind-of complement each other.

I have this feeling that there seems to be more extroverts than introverts in this world, which expects introverts to be extroverted. And that's probably one of the reasons some extroverts think there's something wrong with the introverts. It's like anywhere I go, I meet extroverted people. I might be wrong. I probably have encountered or met a few introverted people, too. Maybe there are introverts who've learned to be a little extroverted to try to fit in with the extroverted crowd. I've tried, and I always ended up being more of an introvert. I've found some people who can accept or appreciate my personality.

I'm an introvert and it really bothers me how people think that we are all stuck up.
I had to take a myers-briggs indicator test for one of my classes once, and we would go through each section of the test together, filling it out, then separating into groups to do a little task. For the introvert/extrovert part, they sperated us into the groups, and made us plan a trip to the beach. There were three introvert, to the ten or fifteen extroverts. The extroverts were being really loud and chatty and stuff, and the introverts planned it and sat in silence. It was really interesting.

Interesting the Introverts you mentioned, I have found that most 'stars' are fairly introverted.
Not that I am a star, but I enjoy getting in front of large crowds and speaking, but to do the one-on-one thing is hard for me.
When I am in front of a crowd of people, or on stage, I can be whomever I wish to be - I can play a character, the real me is still hidden.
Good question/statement.

No right or wrong, it's situational. And it is a continuum (some more or less extroverterd / introverted than others).
Not sure the definitions makes sense when you can list Elvis and Johnny as intorverts. I have to wonder if this isn't based on self-evaluations rather than actual behaviour.

I'm an introvert and I feel I have strengths that people overlook. It's my own fault thought--can't sell myself.
