I have had the same problem several times. there really is no good way to tell someone you don't want to be their friend. Maybe just send subtle signals like not inviting her to sit at lunch with you, hanging out with other people rather than her. Quit acting like a "freind" but more of an "aquaintance" Be polite but not very friendly. Eventually she'll get the picture and find new friends.

There isint a simple way of telling a best friend forever something like that. Your suppose to be best friends, so even though shes annoying you tell her calmly to calm down a bit. Yea she might get a bit dramatic..but just tell her the truth. its better than lying
