I don't care what people will say, but Bin Laden has already won. We have the world turned against us, and are on a vendetta that makes no sense which is leaving us open for another attack. I hate to say it, but I don't think it's a matter of IF there is another attack, I think it's a matter of WHEN it will happen. We need to spend less time being the bully on the block, and spend more time trying to build up our, dare I say it, Homeland Security. Which BTW is the biggest joke of a Governmental Agency around. The point of the matter is..WE NEED A LIBERAL IN THE WHITE HOUSE!!

There is plenty of jealousy and animosity for Americans to go a round regardless of what we do.
Certain factions (terrorists if you will) want us gone no matter how well we play up to them. In some parts of the world, benevolence is a sign of weakness, and something to be exploited.
Does any one really think that terrorists will leave us alone should we isolate ourselves, or worse yet, try to curry favor from them?
It is not so much that they disagree with how we use our power, (I would listen to that argument), but more likely that they do not have the power that we do. Most do not care about our affluence and standard of living, it is the power to dominate that they crave, and we stand in the way of that. Should the tables be turned, they would DOMINATE in a fashion that would make the US look kind & gentle.

Answers1, people don't attack you unless you give them a reason to. If you leave people alone and try to be their friend, they won't turn around and attack you. However, if you give someone a bad name and try to kill them, then they will return the favor in kind. That's the law of reciprocity. And please don't come back with "they hate us because of our freedoms". First, Americans don't have a whole lot of freedoms. Second, if they really hated Americans for that reason, then they would hate aboriginal tribes in Africa even more: they have much more freedom than us in America.
It started with the administration scaring the people of a bogeyman, and that tactic got out of their hand and the mythical bogeyman has actually shown up. And it has gotten to the point, where those terrorists don't even have to terrorize us anymore. We are already terrified of everything. Buy a newspaper and read it and see how people act scared all the time. Dozens of flights diverted. Lots of "security" spending. And the guy who supposedly started the whole thing 5 years ago, is nowhere to be found, probably relaxing and eating grapes.
Pitiful.

I do not care if the world hates us. Only spineless leaders care about this. We are a soverign nation and we have the right to exist. We have the right to defend ourselves. The only way terrorism ends is through victory. You ask a lot of clearly liberal questions. Remember, you can leave the US and feel free not to come back. I think it is sad that soliders die protecting your right to...

They would hate us if there were no Conservatives. Conservatives just don't make apologies for them. They realise the danger that islamo-fascist pose for the free world. Conservatives think our way of life is worth fighting for. Our way of life is what the Islamo-facist hate.

Yes. Good point.
We turned our allies and essentially the world against us for going into this world. Many of this world's citizens hate us (they don't want to be us as so many dumbwits want you to think). We are slowly but surely giving the whole world a reason to turn against us.

Are liberals causing terrorists to attack us because liberals are so weak on defense and security?

Yes. They're doing exactly what bin Laden and friends wanted us to do and they're too stupid to realize it.

You've got it ace! With their arrogance they think they can bomb the world into submission. Have we been able to do that in Iraq? How about Lebanon? I rest my case!
