you are talking about the original zelda. the one where you start in a yellow plain with green rocks on the edges of the screen, and a cave where you get the brown sword.
there are no cheats to this game
but there is the method of moving around and getting the treasures in each dungeon without beating the boss. i always find that fun, because it's a challenge to get through with less hearts

Are you speaking about the original Zelda. There are no cheats for that game that i know of, but there is a cool trick on the original Zelda, if you enter the your name as Zelda, (just like this Zelda,) then the location of all the items and dungeons will be in different places.

Sadly, for you, there are no cheats for the legend of zelda series without a gameshark. They wanted the game to be uncheatable, or cheats just werent known then. Cant wait for Twilight Princess to caome out!.

if u have the bombs and the blue candle try bombing or burning some of the rocks or trees. i found 5 secret heart contaners!
