Laura Bush crashed into, and killed, former high-school sweetheart, Michael Dutton Douglas. Upon closer examination of the situation and incomplete police report, it's clear that Laura may have done it on purpose. Regardless of her intent, she successfully covered up the whole thing, until the year 2000 when it was forced into the public eye via the Freedom of Information Act.

These people are above the law. This is what makes it so dangerous. You can imagine because of their past and the way they are treated, they view human life (not their or their children's own) as dispensible. My problem is when is America going to wake up and smell the coffee.

These answerers would be funny if they weren't so scary. I can't believe people like that exist in this country.

This clearly isn't old news since most people have never heard of it.

and secondly, various answers mark you as a 'pro-illegal' and say that you are trying to use this to explain Iraq. Really? What? Do these people even read the (clearly not a) question.

It is also funny that the knee jerk reaction from conservatives ifor all of their wrongdoings is to point at one Democrat who did something once. The Difference between Kennedy and this is that Kennedy drove off a bridge killing his passenger. Ms. Bush drove headlong into another car that happened to be carrying her boyfriend.

Aside from the fact that for many people saying "Bush" makes them orgasm and saying "Kennedy" makes them throw things, which of the situations above sounds more suspicious?

Can you say, "Chappaquiddick"?

A drunk (as usual) Ted Kennedy left Miss Kopeckne unconscious in a car "alive" to drown while he scurried off to the Hyannis Port compound to consult his spin masters on how to cover up "Involuntary manslaughter!

He didn't report the incident until late the next morning? Some people might call this at the very least "Manslaughter".

Try again ... come on now, can you say, "Chappaquiddick"!

Are you proposing something is going to be done about it after 43 years. If not - so what. Oh by the way do you talk about stupid things you did in your past. Oh, I guess you also are guilty of a cover up.

It is true that Laura was responsible for the death of her ex-boyfriend. As to her intent, you can prove nothing. It was covered up because she was under the age of 18.

That was an accident when she was a kid. How did you feel about Teddy Kennedy when he killed a girl being an adult, a politician, and a drunk? I imagine you have an agenda.
