The only thing that age has to do with tampon use is responsibility. Many parents are concerned that their children are not mature/responsible enough to deal with tampons.
You can't forget about a tampon. There are serious risks associated with leaving one in for too long. If you really want to use them, try having a frank talk with your mother to show here that you are responsible enough to deal with it.

Anyone who is on their period can use tampons. What religion are you??? If you have a strict religion, then your mom may not want you to use tampons because they can break your hymen (the membrane that "physically" makes you a virgin) If you dont have a strict religion, then forget about that explanation, I just happen to know that some religions forbid tampons. Ask your mom about Toxic Shock Syndrome and if there is a history of it in the family. Toxic Shock Syndrome is one of the risks of using tampons and whether or not you get it from using tampons often runs in families. Your mom might also just want you to wait and try tampons later on when you are used to getting your period. Other than that I have no clue why your mom would want you to wait.

you ought to graduate to tampons precise now! once I first began my era interior the seventh grade I, too, grow to be disgusted by utilising pads. I felt so nasty! I in the present day switched to tampons. they are very advantageous because of the fact once you place on them you reside sparkling, can exercising, and can very virtually forget which you're on your era. (aside from the loopy cramps of direction!)

If you're tired of using pads and you're mature enough to change the tampon often, go for it!

you can use tampons as soon as you get your first period. they have preteen tampons that are a lot thinner for younger girls. buy your own box and read the directions.

Age doesn't have anything to do with it. Your mom is probably just concerned that you won't use them correctly or keep them in too long, which could cause problems.

As long as you read the instructions and don't mind having something go inside you, go for it. However I'd first be honest with your mom about your intentions. She cares about you and so you should respect your parents and tell them so.

When you feel comfortable with them. But talk to mum about why you want to use them rather than pads.
