The Vagina is like a mini eco-system, the smell is just the smell, most girls are clean, no self respecting woman would walk around unfresh. The pH level in the vagina dictates its aroma, things like diet, stress, and body composition can affect it. Some females just have a sweet smell, while others have that pungent fragrance that can blow you back. It's all good though, get at it.

Something rotten. Could be an infection. Have you changed your underwear often? Old tampon that got lost? Body chemistry. Try douching if none of the above is the issue.

It very well could be a bacterial infection, they really smell awful. Or it could be a yeast infection or maybe you just need some soap and water.

Sometimes small particles of food and mice get trapped in the vagina. As these objects decompose there can be a smell. I suggest the woman in question see her doctor or a pest control specialist.

high acidity in your uterine wall passing out to the vagina as it comes in contact with dried urine that hasn't been washed or wiped off. Washing after sitting in the toilet with luke warm water and mild soap will deter vaginal odor. Take care.
