Can someone point out some parts in Huckleberry Finn that shows how he still has a childlike innocence and some internal conflicts he faces?

I did read the book and I'm not a slacker I have a 4.0. Its just late at night and I don't really feel like looking all over the book

Fleeing with Joe, a run away slave, torn about being an abolitionist and his friendship with Joe. His drunken Pap, frighten of him but as a child never blamed his addiction for his cruelty.
