These days any average American would say because we're the best... ya know with the ignorant president we have in office right now making narrow-minded idiotic impressions on those that are unfortunately impressionable by him. I, fortunately, do not fall into that "average American" category and believe he's the biggest joke the U.S. has ever had as President--at least Nixon admitted it and resigned. And yes, you can count on me to be there on tv with the other protesters of his joke of an administration when he comes here to Salt Lake City, Utah home of the retarded rednecks that still support him more than any other state in the U.S. (ASIDE FROM ME OF COURSE). Oh right... the question itself... just like the others, truthfully, it's because Hollywood is in Southern California not Southern England or Southern anywhere else... I guess that's pretty general but it's true they're made there so they're presented there and NYC than the rest of the U.S. than the rest of the world.

Because they make them! Therefore they have the rights to with hold it. One exception to the rule is a film called Right At Your Door which is being released in the UK Sept 8th to gauge the audience reaction before its US release in January. Risky release date as its about a nuclear bomb going off in LA!

Because that's where most English language films are made and where many programs are written. Its also where the biggest market is, so it makes sense to sell there first.
