I mean, he is a twisted guy with an obvious mental problem, do you think he should remain at a psychiatric facility for the rest of his life? In light of the child porn charges I think he should so he doesnt harm anyone.

I didn't think he was doing it so much for the publicity but more as an escape from the prison of another country. He knew it would be an easier sentence for him in a Cushy U.S. Jail rather than one in Tiawan (SP?? sorry). They really should have thought this out a little more before they spent all that money and time going over there to get him. Why didn't they just run the DNA on him before he left and that would have saved alot of time, money and effort. What a waste!!!! He only lied (confessed) to get out of that country. He doesn't deserve to be in our Jail system or our psychiatric facilities - I say send him back.

Obviously this man is sick and definitely needs to be housed in a mental facility for confessing to a murder he didn't commit. The DNA didn't even match. I knew from the start that he didn't do it. Why would his ex-wife, who hates him, adamantly state that he was with her the night of Jon Benet's murder if he wasn't? This man needs help. And you're right that he should be put away before he really does hurt a child.

I believe he wanted his fifteen minutes of fame and got way more than that. He's no different from any other crackpot who confesses to a crime he didn't commit. You can't commit someone to a facility who has not been convicted of a crime - if he is found guilty on child porn charges, he'll go to prison. He may be twisted, but he is not legally insane.

I am from Denver, Colorado and I can assure you that EVERYONE here is questioning his guilt. It's almost like he was so obsessed with the case that he wanted to be closer to it by saying he did it. His family and friends stories don't match his. They all say he was in Georgia at the time of the murder. It's so fishy. He is quite the weirdo, though!

I think that he definately wanted some attention, but I also think that the guy is seriously sick. From some of the things I have heard, he has been fixated on the crime for a long time and I think he might have convinced himself that he did it. Regardless, I think anyone who is caught with kiddie porn, should be seriously evaluated before being set loose into "normal" society.

Yes, I very much feel he wanted the publicity, and he got it. I think Mr. Ramsey was smart in sayng that we shouldn't make judgements or jump to conclusions.
He is very much a person that should be watched for life.

There's no such verse brother, Islam never orders Muslims to kill innocent people, whether they are infidels or not. If someone cites you a verse that shows violence, always look up the verse and read the verses before and after that verse, to see it in its full context. Peace.

He might have convinced himself he did it, but it's possible he was just looking for publicity for his book. If it's ever published, I certainly hope no one except a few psychiatrists buys it. -yk

I think it wasn't for the publicity, but for the free ride and extradition from Thailand and the jail he was in there for sex charges. They are not nearly as nice to their prisoners there as Americans are!
