We live in nj and there are black crickets everywhere. My husband is going to have a stroke if one more gets in our home. He sprayed under and around the house for them but they are still here. Aren't they only around a few more weeks?

Generally they hang around until the first frost. Then they'll burrow in and hibernate and make many more little crickets.
There's got to be some place where they're getting into your house. Ask you husband to check the sweeps under the doors to make sure they're sealing up properly. Spray heaviest concentration of insecticide around the doors and windows.
You have my sentiments... they can be noisy critters.
