I want to know if the removal of tiny skin tags from my face would be painful. I've heard of laser and topical treatments but I'd like some insight on the most effective (least painful) method from someone who's experienced it firsthand.

I've had a mole removed from my cheek. I didnt hurt at all. They use a needle and just poke the mole for a little and apply this fruit on my face everyday to reduce it leaving a scar and it falls off my itself. Becayse if you take it off suddenly in a fast motion it will leave a scar with a chunk missing frm your face where the mole once was. I didn't hurt at all, and i was about 10-11 at the time.

I've had two moles removed from my face. One was on my chin and the other was at the top of my jaw bone, next to my ear. Both were frozen off. The Doc sprayed some chemical directly on the moles...they froze...and he scrapped them off. Minimal discomfort. Left a scar which stayed for about a week. Now you can't tell I had the moles. Skin looks perfectly normal.

Once I went to a um..I think its called a herbal doctor or some accupuncture thing and they used a needle or pin and got rid of one of my moles, it hurt, but I was little at the time. I had to put medicine on it for like a week, but it didn't hurt anymore after then. Another time, I noticed a black bump on my arm, and it looked like a scab, so I picked it out with my fingers, and it hurt a bit. A few weeks later, the same mole grew bac, but smaller.

Don't you hate 'em! I had 17 removed from my neck when I was 14- course I was under anesthesia for a tonsillectomy. But I've taken others off with my fingernails or sharp sterile scissors. I think it hurts more if they get caught on something as they often did when I had them on my neck. I do have a couple of larger ones that are sensitive and haven't been able to take them off but one of these days....

I cut mine off with some cuticle scissors. I soaked them in alcohol and snipped away. They of course bled for about 15 minutes. That's all they do at the Dr anyway. I went to the Dr several years ago to have soem removed and it ended up costing my $600 because insurance would not cover it. That's why I did it myself this time.

I had mine removed and it wasn't painful at all. I have a low tolerance for pain too. I had a shot around the area, I hate shots, but it wasnt too bad. That was all I felt. They cut it off and it healed nicely. I just had them to cover my eyes with a cloth... the anxiety was worse than the procedure! No worries! It wont hurt!

The doctor can even take the tag and SNIP cut it off! When the scab falls off, no more taggie-waggie! of course, it depends on the size of the tag, too! Get them done NOW before they are huge and gross---and if you say you think there might be skin cancer in your family, they sometimes will code it so ins pays. NOT THAT I TOLD YOU TO SAY THAT OR ANYTHING.....

I have those aggravating little devils on my neck & my long hair constantly gets caught on them. My doctor had me take a string & tie it around one of them for a couple of days one time. It cuts the blood ciculation off to them & they dry up & fall off & it doesnt leave a scar that way. My friend had her doctor cut one of hers off & it left a huge scar.
