I was wondering if I should put colgate whitning toothpaste of these discolorations will they go away? Or at least become less noticeable?

You appear to covering all the bases that I would naturally suggest. It's hard to go in the opposite direction of doing Damage Control vs. Preventative Maintenance.

I'm sure you've already figured this out by now. What you're doing right now certainly helps and you should by no means stop doing it.

Applications of such things as Whitening Toothpaste may have some positive results, but it takes repeated usage and it's difficult to give a blanket statement as to the length of time since it depends on how much discoloration and how the individual brushes his or her teeth.

If you're expecting an overnight solution, I know of none.

I'm in Los Angeles where people get everything operated on. That includes the process of Teeth Whitening, which costs around $3,000.00. If it's really that much of an issue to you and have the disposable income ot afford such a procedure, that's one viable (although expensive) option.

The other recommendation I'd offer is to avoid caffeine from sodas and coffee that will contribute to such discoloration.

The other tip is not to sip it through your teeth. When you drink coffee or soda, keep your teeth out of the liquid streaming into your mouth.

A lot of people suck caffeinated liquids through their teeth that contributes to this problem.

One thing you should commend yourself on is that you're taking good care of your teeth now. Even though the discoloration may be disheartening, the care you give to your teeth will serve you when you're older.

When you're older, you'll be thankful having your original "discolored" teeth than shiny new Dentures supplementing teeth that fell out due to improper care.

I wouldn't put toothpaste on them at night. To whiten your teeth, brush your teeth, floss (it's so much easier with the Reach flosser), brush again (with a different toothpaste if possible), use baking soda (I know it sounds weird, but baking soda is a natural teeth whitener), and then use a whitening mouth wash. They even have whitening gum. If your in a hurry, just use baking soda and a whitening toothpaste. Your dentist will be soooooo happy!

Stay away from the professional teeth whitening procedures and from the whitening at home kits. They are using extremely toxic chemicals that can cause IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE TO TOOTH ENAMEL and premature tooth decay.

Check out this site: http://www.naturalwhiteteeth.net - It's about how you can whiten your teeth 100% naturally. Same results but 100% safe and 1000 times cheaper.

Yes, I would try the whitening toothpaste. You also may want to try the crest whitening strips. Make sure your toothpaste has baking soda in it. That's helps with whitening.
