My father was the same way he didn't like the way I dressed, he didn't like the way I looked (I had sidburns) and he mainly flat out didn't like me...... Once he told me go shave and wear different clothes because No Son of his would look like I did and he said As long as I looked like that I wasnt his son, it hurt me I didnt ever dress like a gang member or do drugs I was just me and he didn't like me for that, I don't know why parents are like that if they are your own parents or they are your friends, try to explain to her who you are and that you mean your friend no harm or anything, I hope whatever happens the friends mom will understand and have some heart that you are a good person I believe it and I am just answering a question I feel that you are a nice, loving person that does not want any wrong doing in their friendships, You'll Always have a friend in me! NO MATTER what my parents say! Lol

You know who are the most overprotective moms? Moms of boys. There doesn't have to be any logic to it. Some adults just freak out at the very idea of someone taking meds for something other than an infected cut. The important thing is if your friend is a good friend. Don't grant his mom the power to hurt your feelings anymore, she is obviously capable of saying nasty things. Good Luck!

It's not really You.It would be any teen that she thought "Might" have an unsavory influence on her daughter. It all spoils down to the fact that she doesn't trust HER daughter.I let my daughter pick her own friends. If she gets herself into trouble it's HER own fault.Growing up means you make your own decisions.I trust my daughter, but I also know that she doesn't need any help gettin into trouble. She can do that all on her own.

I have a similar problem. I've learned that not everybody's gonna like you, so just continue to be super polite. You can't really do anything about it more than that, quite honestly. Good luck.

maybe shes just over protective of her daughter. or maybe she just gets a bad vibe from you. there is one friend that i have that i know my mom hates and she has no reason at all other than she feels like this girl thinks shes hot stuff and it annoys my mom. i wouldnt let it bother you.

Confront her with your concerns head-on.. Ask her why she feels as she does about you- what you can do to improve the relationship.. The wondering and worry is not getting you anywhere. I am sure she will be impressed about how upfront you are with her..

Just continue being nice to her and sometimes overdo it, just to rub it in her face that you know she doesn't like you. She is just being protective of her daughter, it's probably nothing personal.

Ask her why she doesn't like you and explain to her that once she got to know you she would find out that you aren't a bad person
