In the 90's a Japanese politic an refereed to GW Bush's presidency as the birth of the American Empire. This is actually true because many presidents including our current one are members of dynasties. Some, date back to the Mayflower.

Think it through:
"A supreme military leader excercising civil power" -- Bush is a civil leader, excercising military power. Further he is only able to excercise it with the joint consent of Congress (who have the power to impeach if he oversteps his constitutional limits), and all of them only with the consent of the populace.
"in a region" -- nope, not restricted to any one region
"especially one accountable to nobody" -- except the voters, the congress, and the supreme court
"when the central governemtn is weak" -- our central government is probably at it strongest in history. The UN by the way is not a governernment.
So much for "Higher Education" at Princeton...

I strongly disagree. Do you remember 9/11? Oh that's right that WAS a terrorist attack wasn't it. Would you stand around and let some one rape kill and torcher your family while you watch? MMM no I doubt it. This IS AMERICA We have fought for our freedom and damn-it we are gonna continue to fight for it. If you don't like it here I'm sure some other lame-a$$ country will let you over there and be their slave.

I somehow associate warlords with large, muscular, brave warriors.
I don't think Bush ever fought a day in his life. He just sends other people to do it.
