Don't forget an outfit for the little cutie to come home in, and some sugar free hard candies for you to keep your hydration. I always made sure to have my own robe, pillow and my What To Expect When You're Expecting book too. Oh, and the list of numbers for your coach to call when your little cutie is finally here. And a camera!
Good luck, Hon. And congratulations! Yay!

Be sure to pack things that are going to make you feel comfortable. Some socks or slippers, A nightgown, toothbrush, body soap and a pouf. The last thing you want to do is shower with those small bars of soap. You don't need to take diapers, your hospital should provide all that for you. For the baby you should take two outfits, just in case. Newborns usually don't need that much stuff. For the first three days all they do is sleep. Make yourself comfortable that is really important. I hope everything goes well for you!

Don't over pack, that is what I did, You really just need an outfit for you both to go home in, maybe a recieving blanket for the baby, I would say two night gowns for you, some granny panties, (about 4 pair), any type of powders or lotions you like for after your bath, toothbrush and some magazines, other than that the hospital should provide any thing you need.

Hospital will provide diapers & the essentials for umbilical care and formula if you will be using it. Bring a comfortable change of clothing for yourself and something for the baby ( stretchie, blanket, hat) Hospital will probably give you a couple of those HUGE sanitary napkins but your better off having your own supply...super heavy duty though, Ask nurse for TUCKS & some cream if you have a vaginal birth you'll be thankful you have them and a sitz bath. Good Luck!
P.S. don't forget the car seat on the day you go home!

The hospital usually provides diapers, but it wouldn't hurt to stick a few in his/her little bag. I packed a couple little nighties/sleepers and a outfit to come home in. Also, if your hospital takes a newborn picture, consider what you would want him to wear for that. A couple other things you might pack to give that personal feel are a pacifier (if you are going to use one), socks, hat, receiving blanket and maybe a special toy. It's all up to you...whatever you feel comfy with. There are no wrong answers.

Personally all I took was a pair of clothes to wear home (something very comfortable), a pair for the baby, the car seat, and some of my hygiene stuff (toothbrush, comb). We brought the cameras. Some people want to bring clothes to wear while they are there, but you really don't want to ruin your good clothes. Check with your hospital if you are unsure of what they provide for the baby. Most hospitals give you diapers, wipes, and bathing/hygiene for baby. You won't really have the desire or time to read a magazine or anything like that and once baby comes you are just going to want to hold him or her. Good luck and Congrats.

You don't need diapers because the hospital will give you a little going home package of baby supplies.
Take a couple nice night gowns or whatever you like to sleep in. If you're going to breast feed, remember they need to be front opening.
Take a going home outfit for the baby & one for you.
Make sure you have a car seat for the baby.
Take your usual toiletries.

My wife brought along her own toilet paper. Last thing you want after giving birth is 1 ply toilet paper. All the nurses thought that was the best idea. For the baby a going home outfit, and an outfit if you want something different for the hospital picture. And don't forget the camera like we did and ended up spending 20$ on a disposable one from the gift shop

You will need to pack your carseat, outfit for your baby to take pictures in, an outfit (or 2-3 if your having a boy cause they leak!!!!) to come home in. You don't need to pack clothes for your hospital stay for the baby unless you want to...the hospital furnishes little shirts and blankies to wrap them in while they stay at the hospital. But if you want to dress your baby while you stay you will need to pack those clothes as well. You will need to take some blankies for the baby to come home in....being as this is warm weather, 2-3 receiving blankies ought to do. You shouldn't need to use all of them but it is better to have more than enough as to not enough. You will not need to take any diapers or wipes because the hospital supplies all that. If you are having a boy and are having him circumcised, they will supply all the things to take care of his diaper area. If you don't want to wear the hospital gown yourself, you will need to bring a gown or a robe. I had a night gown when I had my first baby but it was a little hard to nurse so with my second baby, I found a zip-up robe that looked like a gown for easy feeding access. You will need some house shoes and maybe some socks. you might want to take a few pairs of undies. The hospital that I delivered my babies at supplies these really awesome disposable undies. They also supplies everything you will need to take care of yourself (afterbirth). You will also need to pack all your hygene things. You should pack your cell phone charger and some things to keep you and your hubby busy like puzzle books or magazines. Don't forget your camera. Take an outfit for you to wear home. You should pack something comfy that you wore while you were pregnant. Chances are you won't be able to fit in a pair of your blue jean shorts that you wore before pregnancy. Just kind of make your own judgement on what you would be able to wear comfortably. You might suggest you hubby pack about a weeks worth of clothes unless he plans on coming home often. When I was induced with my 1rst son, I was in labor 56 hours and was in the hospital for a total of 5 days (Friday to Tuesday)November 16,2003). With my second son I was in labor 4 and 1/2 hours. It was summer time (July 26,2005) and I froze my hubby with the A/C so you might want to tell him to pack a long sleeve shirt in case you need it cool to be comfy while laboring. It is all about you girl while you are in labor! Your hubby will need to bring a phone list to call everyone when the baby is born and enough money to eat on while you are in the hospital. You might want to take your baby book so you can get your baby's foot prints after birth and fill some of the details out while they are still fresh in your mind. I really can't think of anything else. You always forget something anyhow! Hopefully this will help you get the nesesities! Good luck and congratulations.
