Living in Australia, how can I maximise Qantas FF points, without flying or spending on affil. Credit Cards ?
The Qantas Frequent Flyer programme has a yearly membership fee,but I don`t seem to get enough points to get ever enough points for an award flight.
Apart from affiliated credit cards ( which means spending a lot of money to get miles ) are there other ways to maximise the points, without flying or going broke, trying to get miles from spending at MasterCard or Visa ?

Money-exchange transactions have been suggested, but that`s just too costly, with fees & charges plus a bad exchange rate.

Pretty much the only way to get heaps of Qantas FF points is to...Travel heaps, flights, hotels, car hire etc...or the good ol' Credit Card. Neither sound like the answer you're looking for but they're the only way I've found that will get me the points to actually get anywhere.

The credit cards aren't too bad if you follow a budget. I moved a lot of my direct debit bills onto my credit card and then just set up a fortnightly payment from my bank account to my credit card so that I wasn't avoiding my bills just because I didn't have to use 'my own money'.

Sorry wish I could have been more help.

I have an ANZ Qantas Visa.

It's worked for me with careful management.

I believe I get 1 point per $1, but you need to check into that.

My rule is if it costs over $50, it goes on the card and I pay the card back.

I have lots of points, and am happy with it.
