fallout boy??? panic at the disco??? The question wasn't who is the biggest "15 minutes of fame on MTV" band? It was THE GREATEST BAND... and that of course is Nirvana and a close second is Jimi Hendrix and his "experience" but than I believe Nirvana stood out far more in it's era than Hendrix did mainly due to just 2 bands pretty much known for that "grunge" era were Nirvana and Pearl Jam. Think of the 60's when Jimi Hendrix was playing... there were far more of even the same types of bands at the same time than the early 90's. That's the main edge along with the new outlets to publicize the music during that time... cable and sattelite tv... internet just starting out... back in the 60's it was weak color tv's and am/fm radio--that was it. EDGE: Nirvana.

I'd have to say The Damned. They've been around since 1976, and still sounding as good as ever! Still playing in small pubs and clubs, yet famous around the world!! As a punk band, I think they deserve more credit!!

My choices would be Led Zeppelin (one of the greatest songs ever is Stairway to Heaven) or Pink Floyd (Dark Side of the Moon) . Both have albums and songs that still come up in top spots on charts even after all these years.

My two cents...I'm sure you'll gat a variety of answers on this one :)
